Roles

Access is granted separately for each module: camera traps, sound, species distribution models.
Registration
- Click "Register" on the site and fill in the form: choose institutions and briefly describe your experience.
- Confirm your email with the link in the message.
- Wait for approval by an administrator or an institution manager.
Tip: the confirmation email sometimes ends up in spam.
Every person works under their own account. Shared "guest" accounts for several people are not allowed, because they break the independence of verification and the assessment of verifiers' experience.
Who sees what
- Data of all institutions are kept in one database, but each user sees only their own institution and public locations.
- Who identified a series as what is visible to managers only. This keeps answers independent.
Storage
- Photos stay on the server while they are being verified. When a series is completed, the files are deleted and the record stays in the database.
- Every night the database is backed up and the data of each institution are exported to CSV. Originals are kept in several independent copies.
Warning: the platform does not replace the institution's archive. Each institution keeps its own copy of the raw data for at least 5 years.
